With spring just around the corner, new fashion trends and styles are blossoming just like the flowers. Here are five items you need to have in your wardrobe this spring summer, and five items to stay away from.
1. Greens and pinks
Greens and pinks are dominating retail stores now and are top picks when it comes to must-wear colours this summer. It’s trending both as a combination and individually. Bright green dresses and bright pink dresses are lighting up clothing racks in Holloway Road.

2. Denim
You’re not gonna be able to walk outside without seeing someone wearing something of denim. Denim jackets, dresses and bags are taking over street wear as usual. With the rise of 2000s fashion coming back into trend we can expect lots of low-waisted jeans, long maxi denim skirts and cute refurbished denim shoulder bags taking over streetwear around London.

3. Animal prints
Animal prints has stayed trendy since the 1930s, the decade when Tarzan the Apeman premiered which “Inspired many women to embrace the adventurous, exciting look animal print may provide” . So it is no surprise that 2023 spring and summer will be filled with Tiger, Zebra and Cheetah prints sprawled across bags, maxi dresses, skirts and phone cases.

4. Leather bags
The last couple of years, oversized leather blazers have been really popular. This summer leather bags are a must-have in everyone’s wardrobe.

5. Linen shirts for men and women
Linen shirts are a staple piece in warm weather for men and women. Linen shirts are definitely one of the staple pieces within Stockholm style and will be dominating beach and boat fashion over the summer.

On the following list there’s clothing items you’re encouraged not to wear if you want to stay up to fashion.
1. Paisley
Paisley pattern on clothing pieces was popular in the 1960s and 1970s but if you want to be stylish in 2023 then this is a pattern to stay away from.
2. Patterned leggings
If you must wear leggings you should wear basic coloured leggings as the patterned ones are out of fashion.
3. High waisted pants
The high waisted pants have been pushed out by the low waist pants ! Low rise jeans from the 00s are trending like never before and they have come to stay.
4. Body fitted blazers
Body fitted blazers got switched out a few years ago by the oversized blazer! The Swedish influencer Matilda Djerf is well known for her oversized blazers through her brand Djerf Avenue.
5. Fur-vests
Do you want to like the teddybear you had when you were five? Okey, stay away from fur vests.
