It’s time to dispel the myth that being at home doesn’t force us to keep looking after ourselves.

At this time it is key that we do not lose our routine care, maintaining good
hygiene and cleanliness. Also, we have to stay active and we have to manage to continue with our lives as we did before.

For that reason, today we bring you a set of tips that will help you to continue to shine during this quarantine.

1. Maintain a facial routine. Our skin now suffers from stress and anxiety and that makes it look duller. We should follow a routine, cleansing it both day and night. It is a good time to incorporate facemasks and exfoliants into our routine (we can make our all-natural ones at home).

To combat the effects produced by stress and being sedentary, you can use products rich in antioxidants – they will help your skin.

2. Hydration. Drink water to cleanse your body and keep it hydrated at all
times. An essential tip is to drink hot water with lemon juice in the morning. It will help cleanse your bowels and get you off to a better start to your day!

Furthermore, hydrate your skin after each shower by applying a moisturising or regenerating cream, which will give your skin that touch of vitality and make it look radiant.

3. Don’t forget to eat well. Just as it is important to take care of your skin with external products, food is vital to maintain a properly functioning immune system and keep your skin in optimal condition.

Green leaves, citrus fruits, avocado, garlic, onion, quinoa, açai, broccoli and
nuts among many others are superfoods that will help us nourish the body and support our beauty routines from the inside.

Alisha, 22, says: “For example I don’t like eating spinach. But a way for me to eat it without even noticing is to incorporate it into smoothies. Then they get a super greener colour!”.

4. Taking care of our hair: For these days of confinement it is essential to
have a good shampoo and good oil. Besides, we should avoid lying down with wet hair and making ponytails, as this way the hair becomes weak and breaks easily.

5. Taking care of our psychological health. To relieve stress and anxiety it is
essential to massage the body. You can massage your head yourself, making
the blood flow better to end headache, neck pain or eye strain. Massage is your best ally against anxiety.

Ana Maria, 25, says: “The benefits of a facial massage are amazing, they take away the pain I have in my eyes produced from sitting all day in front of a computer.”
