PARIS FASHION WEEK: Dominique Croft, the new ‘IT’ jewellery designer, takes over fashion

By Fiona Vitija

Earlier this week, Dominique Croft took over Paris Fashion Week (PFW), showcasing her mesmerising jewellery that glistened at every step down the runway at the Flying Solo show. As this was only her first time at PFW, Dominique made sure to leave an unshakable impression on us all.

Dominique started her small business, Elk & Bloom, at the height of Covid as a hobby but soon realised she no longer had to rely on her office job to get by. Elk & Bloom is a UK-based company inspired by summer and the feeling we embody during the warmer seasons.

“Our mission has been to combine both aspects of everyday wear and luxury to create jewellery that has the power to inspire and empower,” she said

Elk and Bloom do precisely that. Every look that cascaded down the runway was met with the most delicate and alluring piece of jewellery. Necklaces draped freely off of models while other pieces were used as body chains, adding emphasis and power to the pieces.

When coming up with inspiration for her jewellery Dominique says, “Our biggest inspiration at Elk & Bloom will always be our customers.

“Some of our main muses, however, are women from history like Cleopatra who is embodied with divine femininity and strength.”

Dominique’s talents can be seen far and wide, and it’s clear to see that she isn’t intimidated by a challenge. The passion for her work is evident and runs through every piece created, making each piece just as unique.
