Staying home is becoming the new norm since the shutdown of schools, concerts are postponed, sporting events are cancelled, and tourist hot spots are closed.
Self-isolation has caused many of us find ourselves with a lot of time on our hands. If you are struggling to keep yourself occupied at home take a moment to Netflix and chill – or to at least catch up with the newest Netflix series. You and your teens are sure to love them!
This is the top four series we all should be addig into your watch list during this time.
On My Block

On My Block is a series that follows four street savvy friends who are finding their way through high school. They navigate a lot of issues living in a predominantly Hispanic and black neighbourhood in South Central Los Angeles. Their friendship will be tested as they experience challenges and growth in this coming-of-age comedy series.
“ I love the comedy side of the show Jamal is my favourite character. I had to re-watch the series again,” said Olen Panzu, 20, who works in security.
Riverdale

Riverdale is a series that revolves around mysteries that surround the troubled waters of sex, romance, school and family. This highly acclaimed series follow the lives of teenager Archie and his fellow high school students, as they become entangled in the dark, mysterious death of classmate, Jason Blossom. Together they unravel the secrets of Riverdale to discover who really killed Jason and why.
Elite

Elite is a Spanish thriller teen drama series that follows a group of students who are all in the centre of a tragedy. It focuses on three of working-class students who are admitted to a prestigious institution after their own school collapses. Shifting between the past and present of the main character, it shows his journey to figure out the murder of a student – and the hunt for the culprit is on. If you think this sounds a bit like Riverdale, you may be right.
“The turn and twist of this TV series is what keep me interested. I love to watch international movies and I definitely would make this a recommendation it to a friend,” said Hope Chamber, 23, a biology student at Canterbury University.
The Witcher

The Witcher is fantasy TV drama based on the book and game about Witcher Geralt, a mutated monster hunter, who struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove to be more wicked than beasts. He goes on a journey to find a purpose and Princess Ciri, as the two are linked by destiny to each other.
“I was very pleased to watch the series as I used to play the game. I like the way they bought out the game into the big screen,” said Ariel Panzu, 23, who studies biology at Leicester University =.
