A Haringey woman was arrested today having been found in possession of heroine and cocaine with intent to supply.

Twenty-year-old Brianna Baker Coleman, who lives on Sydney Road, was arrested earlier this morning. The Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court heard there was no indication of a plea from the defendant.

Following a warrant out for her arrest, the police found £1,380 street value of cocaine and heroin, £230 in cash, and additional mobile phones at her flat. The value of all the drugs, goods and cash totalled £1,600.

It was alleged by the prosecutor that Coleman was not working, leading to evidence of intention to supply. The Court heard that the defendant was facing debt and it forced her into further criminality to pay it.

The prosecutor said that if she were to go back to the same address, she would remain in contact with the supply chain.

“You cannot save me,” said Coleman to the police officer at the crime scene.

The solicitor stated she has been in care since she was 15 years old due to an estranged relationship with her mother and that she also was the victim of a gunshot wound last July. It was alleged that the shooting was an accident.

The defendant will remain in custody until later on today when a decision will be made about her bail conditions.
