In the heart of the Middle East, the longstanding and deeply complex conflict between Israel and Palestine continues to capture the world’s attention.

With roots tracing back to the mid-20th century, the struggle for control over territory and self-determination has evolved into a multifaceted and often contentious narrative. As the two sides navigate a delicate geopolitical landscape, the ongoing tensions and occasional escalations demand a nuanced understanding of historical grievances, political intricacies, and the human impact of a conflict that extends far beyond the borders of the region.

The Dreamz café owner from Holloway has shared some of her thoughts on this conflict. She said, “This is actually a very sensitive topic; this genocide should come to an end because a lot of people, especially kids, but everyone is suffering.”

She also shared her opinion regarding what happened recently in Leicester Square: Palestine supporters tearing down posters of Israeli women and children kidnapped by Hamas terrorists. “It’s totally unfair because everyone has the freedom to express their own opinions,” she said.

A fellow customer in the café gave his vivid opinions on what is happening to many families and children of Palestine right now. He said, “I think it’s horrible. A lot of people are suffering.” According to research, there have been over 15,000 deaths from both Israel and Palestine as a result of the war.

The customer also shared his opinions in regards to missing children’s and women’s posters being torn down not only in London but around the world. He said, “To be honest everyone has the right to express their opinion but I don’t think it’s good.”

A ceasefire discussion began on 24 November 2023 and according to reports, a truce was extended for two more days on the 28th of November to free more hostages and prisoners.

Two days ago a huge pro-Palestinian march was held in Central London in support of the ceasefire. There are hopes in the war ending to free those who are suffering the most.
