A registered sex offender has appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court today pleading guilty to breaching his court order.

Henry Foster failed to notify police that he had opened five bank accounts and a credit card account, breaching his conditions in accordance with the Sexual Offences Act 2003.

The judge stated that there was no evidence to suggest Foster has been using the bank accounts for anything untoward or relating to sexual offences, which was backed up by his solicitor, who told the court that Foster had opened them when starting employment.

Foster’s barrister spoke highly of his commitment to turning his life around, and told the judge he is now working for a traffic management company, has a stable home and has not been in trouble with the law since 2010.

The judge also stated that she could not see the benefit in sentencing him to a community order and instead imposed a fine of £1,030, of which Foster agreed to pay in increments of £50 a week.
