The royal family may particularly love Pembroke Welsh Corgis, but it seems admirers of the royals love all sorts of dogs.
Royalists with “Coronation fever” travelled far and wide – some with their pampered pooches in tow – to attend the Coronation ceremonies last weekend, celebrating the new King.
“We want our dog to be part of coronation history,” said a woman from Hounslow in West London, who brought her Airedale in a special buggy to join in the festivities.

Following Queen Elizabeth II’s death on 8 September last year, the heir to the throne, now King Charles, was crowned with his wife Camilla Parker Bowles as King and Queen of England and the Commonwealth on Saturday, 6 May 2023, in Westminster Abbey, London.
The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, crowned the couple, followed by the blessing and onlookers shouting “God Save the King”.

Thousands witnessed the historic royal Gold state carriage, in use since the time of King William IV in 1831, parading through the streets of central London in cloudy weather.
The monarch drove from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey with a cortege of other royal family members.

Charles is the seventh monarch to wear the 2kg St Edwards Crown. He was the second monarch to have his coronation televised in England, 70 years after his mother became Queen on 2 June 1953.

More than 18 million viewers watched the coronation on their screens, compared to 31 million viewers who watched the funeral of Diana, Princess of Wales, in 1997, according to the BBC.

The coronation took place in the presence of 2,300 guests, seven living UK prime ministers, and 100 overseas heads of state.
Guest from all over the world were happy to be part of history and send a warm message to the royal couple.
