PARIS FASHION WEEK: How to make the most of a day in Paris

Popping to Paris for the day? Here’s a look at the best way to spend your time.

Breakfast

Start off your day with a trip to the beautiful Maison Sauvage where you will be met with a menu of the most delicious breakfast choices. From mascarpone and berries pancakes, omelettes and avocado toast, there are so many options to choose from. Make sure you eat well to ensure you have enough energy for the rest of the day.

The Sacre-Coeur 

From Maison Sauvage you can walk or take the Metro to the Sacre-Coeur, one of the most famous monuments in Paris. Set on top of the butte Montmarte it offers beautiful views of City of Love. It is a Roman Catholic Church, with the largest mosaic in France featured within. You can even access the dome (if you’re not scared of heights) where you will have a 360 degree view of Paris.

A walk through Montmatre

Take a walk down from the Sacre-Coeur to the Place du Tertre for the perfect Parisian atmosphere. It’s a spot where you will find many very talented painters, all with unique styles. You will also come across many unique shops and lovely patisseries that are worth a visit.

Lunch

By now you’ll probably be hungry meaning it’s the perfect time to grab some lunch. Le Cabanon de la Butte is a fabulous authentic French restaurant serving meals such as; Steak and fries, Boeuf Bourguignon and mash and snails. The perfect place to re-fuel yourself so you’re prepared for the rest of your day.

Petit Palais

Take a short journey on the Metro to visit Petit Palais, Museum of the fine arts. It presents the collections of paintings and sculptures acquired by the City of Paris since 1870 either as commissions or bought directly from artists or at Salons. This ensemble of French art from the late 19th and early 20th centuries constitutes one of the major poles of today’s collection.

The Eiffel Tower 

From Petit Palais, the Eiffel Tower is only a short walk and the perfect place to visit in the evening. See it in all its glory and then enjoy some dinner and a drink at a nearby restaurant.

Dinner with a view 

Brasserie De La Tour Eiffel is the perfect place to finish your day. Set at the feet of the Eiffel Tower, you can enjoy great food and incredible food. The food is all homemade with a selection of savoury and sweet treats, enjoy your meal with a glass of wine.
