London is known for its numerous amazing bars and restaurants. You can find anything from nice cosy wine spaces to much more lively environments. Look below to see for yourself what to expect when you’re walking around Covent Garden this year.

Blame Gloria

As soon as you walk down the stairs of this underground bar located on 20 Bedford Street, you’ll be met by a friendly and exotic atmosphere. The colourful visuals are impossible to miss, and everybody who’s anybody fits right in.

The staff ensure that the setting provides diversity but remains sophisticated at the same time, by making everyone feel welcome whilst maintaining a sense of professionalism.

“We want everyone to have as much fun as possible. The brand itself wants to represent fun for everyone not just the guests,” says Shaun Clark, who manages the bar.

This can be clearly seen whilst watching the amazing bartenders at work. Not only are they extremely talented but they also show how much they enjoy their job. It’s worth checking out, especially if you enjoy listening to ’90s hits in the background.

Mrs. Riot

There cannot be a better way to describe this place but simply incredible. Located on 10 Henrietta Street, Mrs Riot will surprise anyone.

Every Monday, the bar fills with harmonious live singing, while different events take place throughout the week. Enjoy your drink whilst listening to talented students performing and engaging with the audience.

If you want to find yourself surrounded in a world of luxurious decorations and aesthetically pleasing drinks and food, this is definitely for you. Customer Nikki Jones, 27, said: “One of my favourite places to come to, it’s so different to all the other bars here, it’s just not your usual Monday night environment.”

Eve Bar

Heading to this mysterious bar on 34 Southampton Street, you feel like you’re entering somewhere you are not supposed to. The place fills you with suspense and thrill. The professionalism hangs thick in the air.

“We are attached to the Frog Bar upstairs, and the idea behind it is to be as controversial as we can,” said Ellie Ireland, 24, who works at Eve’s Bar as a bartender.

“We are starting a new menu all about technique. We use five different spirits for all drinks, and you can pick from distillation, clarification, carbonation, fermentation and freezing.”

The whole idea behind the bar is interesting to listen to, and to see. The snack food provided looks and tastes like something out of this world. You will feel like you have truly entered the underworld.
