Do Holloway clothing shops appeal to all sizes?

Do Holloway clothing shops appeal to all sizes?

Regardless of your weight, size or structure, everyone should be able to find clothes that suit and fit them perfectly.

However, sometimes it can be very challenging to find the right size for you, with many brands labelling clothes as smaller or bigger than the actual size. Vanity sizing, as they call it, can make it very confusing to find the ideal size for you.

So, the same question can be asked for stores in the Holloway area, do local residents find it easy to find clothes that fit them in the area?

Local Aidan Baker, 23, said. “There aren’t many clothes shops in Holloway Road at all, so I usually just go to central, around Piccadilly Circus, but when I look around here it is hard as everything seems too big and comes up baggy on me.”

A lack of popular name-brand shops in the area has caused locals to not shop here in general for clothes. With only a handful of charity shops, and 1 JD Sports, many are forced to go elsewhere for their fashion needs.

Alisha Fernley, 18, who works at JD, said “because of all the brands we stock it is difficult to give a specific answer.”

More can be heard in the audio interview below.

After looking first hand in the shop, it appears to be true what Alisha said, as some of the sizes on some of the Nike clothes in particular seem to be a size or two smaller than what they actually are.

Take this Nike jumper for example, it is listed as a small but looks like it could fit a medium and maybe even a large.

So for the time being, Holloway Road is not the spot to shop for your next garment, due to the sizes in nearby shops not being accurate, and a blatant lack of shopping variety in the area at all.
