If you have a passion for art and a taste for cocktails, the Well Hung Gallery in Hoxton street is exhibiting its latest talents with an inaugural party this Thursday.
Working with a new group of artists, gallery creator Nawfal Salman has organised the party for “Well Hung Re-Hang”, showcasing unique and distinctive pieces in its showroom on April 14, from 10am – 6pm.
The exhibition will see work from the likes of Andrew Millar from East London, who has previously exhibited in New York, Paris, Barcelona and Berlin. Using Polaroid film to overlay transparencies and hand apply 24k gold leaf, Millar creates distinctive visuals intertwining between reality and fantasy.
Supporting New Artists
“We try to support artists on their way up. We want to bring out something different for every exhibition,” said Salman
Joseph Loughborough, a British artist now living in Berlin, was also approached by the gallery to exhibit his latest work. His fascination with sin, desire and fear captures thought-provoking imagery, making the viewer question their untold fears and desires.
Brighton artist Bonnie and Clyde will also be part of the group of artists showcasing their work. She uses a mix of paint and photography to produce colourful and transcending collage. Her iconic pieces are influenced by architecture, music and cinema.
Graphic and Urban Street
“We are always changing, and we want to represent established artists but also graphic and urban street artists,” said Salman.
Other artists showing off their work will be Mr. Piper, Alexandra Gallagher, and Kerry Beall.
