Here are 6 beauty essentials that every student needs to get them through their studies
1.Caffeine Solution
After pulling an all nighter at the library, a cup of coffee just simply won’t do the trick. Wake up in the morning with a strong caffeine solution that will reduce puffiness around the eyes when applied and give you the extra kick that you know you need. Caffeine is proven to reduce the appearance of dark circles and it also calms the skin. For all students out there, check out UniDays if you want to be ready to conquer the books once again.

2.Multivitamins
Multivitamins contain all of the perfect ingredients to keep your body and mind in perfect balance for uni. Whilst vitamin C will improve your skin, hair, and boost immunity, B12 will give you a strong kick when that caffeine solution wears off…

3.Face spray
If you’re daydreaming in the library and can’t seem to focus, take five minutes to relax with a calming lavender face spray. We know you don’t have time before that assignment is due – but trust us, it’s going to help you in the long run. A neuroscience graduate told the Guardian: ‘Breaks are important to minimise interference… Plan your revision so you can take breaks and revise what you’ve just learned before moving on to anything new.’

Simran Dhingra, 20, receptionist at Alternatives Beauty Salon on Holloway Road says: “It may seem obvious but keeping hydrated is the most important way of staying beautiful and energised.”
4.Dry shampoo
A little spritz of dry shampoo is all you need if you didn’t get time to wash your hair the night before class (possibly due to another much-needed spritz). It’s no long-term solution, but dry shampoo will keep the roots under control when you have just enough time to meet that deadline – but nothing else.
5.Moisturiser
A moisturiser will leave your skin looking smooth, silky and healthy but one enriched with vitamins will leave it glowing. Applying it in class every now and then will leave you looking fresh at all times!
“If I could choose one beauty product to have with me at all times, it would definitely be a vitamin enriched moisturiser,” says Elvira Duka, beautician at Alternatives Beauty Salon.
“I recommend Dermatologica if you want something a bit more complex, or I use a vitamin A and B moisturiser.”

6.Silk eye masks
Whilst all of these products will help you looking and feeling fresh, we suggest you SLEEP once in a while! Studies show that silk eye masks will not only reduce the risk of wrinkles, they are also a great sleeping aid. So try and get in that much needed beauty sleep when you can!
