Arsenal are once again sitting at the top of the Premier League table this season, but the question remains: do they have what it takes to stay there?
Leading the pack with Manchester City close behind is a position that Arsenal fans have become all too familiar with in recent years.
For the past three seasons, Arsenal have mounted serious title challenges, only to fall short and finish second. Last season, they were locked in a battle with Liverpool, while in the two previous campaigns, it was Manchester City who ultimately denied them the title, lifting the trophy on both occasions.
This season is shaping up in a similar fashion. Arsenal currently sit on 70 points with six games remaining, while City trail on 64 points with a game in hand and seven matches left to play, a gap that leaves little room for error.
However, recent results have raised concerns. Arsenal’s form appears to be slipping at a crucial stage, following a shock home defeat to Bournemouth in the league and an FA Cup quarter-final exit to Southampton earlier this month. They also fell short in the League Cup final against Manchester City in March.
In contrast, City have found momentum at exactly the right time, putting together a strong run of form since their League Cup triumph.

Frustration among supporters is beginning to grow. Laura Flynn, 22, said, “I am so disappointed with Saturday’s result. It seems to always be the way, we end up crumbling at the last point.”
Daniel Blakeman, 36, echoed similar concerns, “I genuinely thought we would come away with at least the league and one cup this season. At one point, it looked possible to win multiple trophies, but now I’m not even sure if we can hold onto the league.”
With the title race entering its final stretch, Arsenal once again find themselves in a familiar and uncomfortable position. The coming weeks will determine whether this season ends in long-awaited success or yet another near miss.
