Now that March is over and we’re finally heading for the spring season, there’s going to wardrobe changes as the sun comes out more frequently. Let’s look over what the latest staples have been for accessories, and what the newsroom team is loving right now!
From our film editor, we have Maria Pedrosa who’s known for her big bags and her love of recommending the team to all the recent movies we should be watching. With her upcoming birthday she’s been accessorizing with earrings, which she says are very special to her.
“I don’t usually wear a lot of accessories, I am a bit of a clean freak and wash my hands very often so at times it annoys me to wear rings or bracelets,” she says.
“My favorite accessory of March are these rose-coloured earrings my dad gifted my mum when they started dating. I have a matching pair of the same ones in a green shade as well but these are very dear to me. They are classic, romantic and add a nice touch to any look.”

Lately our fashion editor, Aliyah Rahma, has been obsessed with her green heart bracelet.
She said: “I’m not a big fan of chunky bracelets and that bracelet is very small and slim, which I love. It goes with everything and it has become my favourite piece recently.”

Molly Madden, our sub-editor, has been waltzing in with her pink trainers and joining in on the Adidas hype.
She said: “My favourite colour is pink so I love the colourway of these shoes! They’re a great everyday shoe and they’re very comfortable. Since I wear lots of neutral-coloured clothes they go really well and suit my outfits.”

My favourite accessory right now is nail press ons, they’re easy to put on but make my nails look so pretty and there’s different designs. I can compliment my outfits with them and it makes me look 10x more put together. Plus everyone loves them too and notices it, which makes me feel great. I like that you change them out whenever and it’s not like I have to go to a professional to take them off; saves me money and time!

Our beauty queen Melina Gjoka, who is always coming into class with her big sunnies, said: “Spring is a time when people like to update their style, and sunglasses are an easy way to complete any outfit. They also match the fun and bright vibe of the season, plus they protect your eyes from the sun! They are practical and stylish.”

Our social media enthusiast, Cydneii Lung’aho, recently went to Kenya and unlike the rest of us, found that her favourite item was a portable fan!
She said: “I was gifted it last year when my flatmate’s family came from Hong Kong, and have been holding it on a pedestal ever since. When I found it I was going home to Kenya two weeks ago, I knew it was the perfect place for its debut. The summer heat there can be way too much at times, especially going from the countryside to the city, so needless to say, it saved my life.”
