So most of us have had exciting, roaring twenties with nightclub life, use of substances and hangovers that would last three days. But now some are going past the big ’30’ you might start to question where you fit in?

However if not your up for standing out in a crowd full of a zest of young people and being called the “grandma” at a bar, Disco Loco may be the place for you to get your groove on…with your young children.
Disco Loco situated in Bethnal Green, East London, proves raving doesn’t have to stop when you have kids, as this clubbing experience is tipped towards mums, dads and their little ones.
The music is set at a level where it is low enough to have a chat but loud enough to pump through your chest and shake it on the dance floor with your little ones. It has the usual club feel with sticky floors and dancing music but is kid-friendly with the nursery sensation that includes soft balls as well as arts and crafts to be found everywhere. It does seem rather unusual to bring a toddler into a club scene.
The kiddy club parties run from the afternoon to the early evening. This way, children are working off some afternoon energy which results in some sleepy children ready for bed and some eternally grateful parents.
Emily Morris, 33, a regular member of the club, says it’s a great way to enjoy spending your afternoon. “When I first heard of it, I thought what madness is this? But it’s wild & wonderful as always, there is nothing quite like dancing the afternoon away at Disco Loco,” she said.
Dedicated organisers and artists of Hackney created the club to offer affordable, friendly and cultural activity for families within the community of Hackney created the club.
One of the organisers, Fiona Sampson 39, said the club doesn’t make any profit and has only ever been made for people to enjoy themselves.
“We started this club, due to fact of parents not having enough time to socialise and go out, and it really is a good way to let off some steam and the kids love it here too. We don’t make any profit, we just want everyone to let down their hair once in a while.” The “rave for folks with kids” is a great way to have fun with your children and partner; it also eases the bill for a babysitter.
